Rachel de Sain has recently been elected back to the board of HISA (Health Informatics Society of Australia), where she lends her consumer facing technology and communications experience to support the eHealth industry in Australia. Sometimes known as the twitter Queen at the annual HIC events, Rachel sets up and manages tweet feeds and blogs on behalf of clients as well providing her own commentary on major eHealth conferences in Australia as well as around the globe.

Previously holding the position of Vice President  of AIMIA (Australian Interactive Media Association) Victoria, Rachel continues to play an active role in the digital media industry in Australia and believes the lessons learnt in consuemr facing industries such as publishing, travel, retail and banking can provide insight into how we can improve community services through the innovative use of technology.

Rachel is an intelligent, passionate, engaging speaker who shares her experiences working for some of the biggest global brands delivering leading edge digital products and services, and provides a uniwue viewpoint on how people respond and engage with new technology and how this is creating shifts in consumer behaviour.

Rachel spoke at the eHealth cluster for NICTA, (National ICT Alliance) video  on consumers use of new technology for healthcare.

A successful workshop was delivered for the Alfred Hospital (one of the largest hospitals in the state) Community advisory committee on the move to eHealth and what the opportunities of social media and interactive technologies are for improving the patient experience in the hospital, as well as for those who care for them.

Rachel was choosen to speak at the first ever Melbourne event for Ignite, a successful series of events around the globe - inspire us, but make it quick. Growing old disgraceully - speaking about the role technology can play in helping us all age on our terms, she was also voted by the audience as the best speaker for the night, and is very proud to have been part of such as wonderful event. watch the video
